This face sunscreen is formulated with non-nano zinc oxide to limit our impact on the oceans. This mineral filter provides broad spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays. Nanoparticles are extremely small particles that may penetrate the skin. To avoid this, we use non-nano zinc oxide, which sits on the skin’s surface and creates a physical barrier against UV rays.
According to the Environmental Working Group (EWG), non-nano zinc oxide is considered one of the safest sunscreen options. EWG Verified® mineral sunscreens are recommended for this reason.
