What is Ecklonia cava?

Typically found in the Pacific Ocean, this alga thrives in underwater beds, ranging from 2 to 25 metres in depth and reaching heights of up to 1.30 metres. As a brown alga, it assumes a crucial role within its ecosystem by serving as both a food source and a protective habitat for numerous marine organisms.
